Kernsville PTO Needs YOU!!

With the end of the 2023-2024 school year in sight, the PTO is already planning for the 2024-2025 school year!

Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 school year, the PTO is in need ofa new board member and many Chairperson positions. If you or anyone you know is interested in joining our AWESOME KV PTO, please reach out to Sara Seipel, President, via email president@kernsvillepto.org or call 484-695-6167. Many of the open positions require minimal time and some can be done from home! Each event has an existing basic plan that can be used as a guide or customized. We are here to help you!!

Board Member – VP of Communications: This position involves promoting events via social media, making flyers for events and sending Mrs. Bronzo (admin. assistant) the weekly PTO announcements every Thursday. This position is mostly done from home. Two Year Term. Minimum time commitment: 30 minutes per week

Book Fair – 2 Chairpersons: This position involves coordinating volunteers for Book Fair and working with Mrs. Newhard to Setup, Run and Pack Up Book Fair. Book Fair occurs 3 separate weeks per school year (Fall, Winter & Spring). You will be expected to volunteer for book fair during these times. This time can be split between both chairs. Minimum time commitment: 3.5 hours per day during book fair

Holiday Jubilee – 2 Chairpersons: This position involves planning and executing our annual Holiday event. You would have creative freedom to make this fun event your own! In the past we have had crafts, games, food, Santa and a Holiday Shop for the kids. This event happens in December each year and is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 15 hours

Family Fun Day – 2 Chairpersons: This position involves planning and executing our annual Family Fun Day event. This event includes a glow party, games, raffle baskets, food and more. This event happens in February each year and is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 15 hours

Night on the Circle – 2 Chairpersons: This position involves planning and executing our annual Night on the Circle event. This event is held outside and includes inflatables, face painting, food and more. This event happens in September each year and is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 8 hours

Ice Cream Social – 1 Chairperson: This event involves planning and running our annual Valentine’s Day Ice Cream Social for the students. You will need to coordinate volunteers, donations and order/purchase supplies. This event happens in February each year during school hours. Minimum time commitment: 3 hours

Trunk or Treat – 2 Chairpersons: This event involves planning and running our annual Trunk or Treat. You will need to assist participants with parking and directing students where to go. This event happens in October each year and is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 4 hours

Bulletin Board – 1 Chairperson: This position involves changing the bulletin board in the front lobby of the school every month. Each grade is given a specific month and will provide you with student artwork to display. You will have creative freedom. Past bulletin board examples will be provided. The bulletin board can be changed during school hours. Minimum time commitment: 2-3 hours per month

Canvas and Cookies – 1 Chairperson: This event involves planning and running our 2 Canvas and Cookies events throughout the year. You will need to coordinate dates/paintings with Angela Faidley, order cookies and purchase drinks for the event. This event happens in the Fall and Spring after school hours. Minimum time commitment: 3 hours

Marquee – 1 Chairperson: This position involves changing the Marquee sign in the front of the school when necessary. The front office will contact you and provide you with everything needed. The sign is usually updated every couple of months. Minimum time commitment: 1.5 hours every other month

Bingo Night – 1 Chairperson: This is a new event that we hope to bring to KV. This event involves. planning and running Bingo Night. You would have creative freedom to plan this event however you would like. We would like to have 1 Bingo Night. This is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 3 hours per event

Movie Night – 1 Chairperson: This is a new event that we hope to bring to KV. This event involves planning and running Movie Night. You would have creative freedom to plan this event however you would like. We would like to have 1 Movie Night. This is an after school event. Minimum time commitment: 3 hours per event
