August 2025

8/14- Popsicles and Playtime 6-7pm: This is for the new incoming Kindergarten students and families to play and connect at the Kernsville playground.  No bathroom will be available.

8/15-Spiritwear Sales Begins: You can order the spiritwear directly from our website. Sale closes on 9/19.

8/20-Get The Scoop 10:30-11:15:  Students and Families are invited to the school for a quick visit before the school year starts.  PTO will provide KONA ice to all attendees free of charge!

K, 1st and 2nd Grade Lunch Helpers: (8/25-8/28), (9/2-9/5), (9/8-9/12) 10:30-11:45am:  VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! The PTO will need volunteers for this.  Please see the home page for signup. This is to help our little ones get acclimated to lunchtime.

 

September 2025

9/9-PTO Meeting 9am-This is where your ideas and concerns can be heard, plans are made for the events we do and friendships are made.

9/10, 9/17, 9/24- Walking Club (10:45-12:10),(12:05-1:25): VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Sign up on home page.  Help promote fitness and reward our students by punching cards and giving prizes during recess. Help and instructions will be provided the day of.

9/19- Night on The Circle 5-7pm (rain date: 9/26): This is a PTO hosted fun night at Kernsville with food, games and fun! The fire department makes an appearance and maybe your favorite teacher!

9/22-Walk A Thon (Coyote Crawl) begins: This is the only fundraiser that the PTO will do for the year if we can meet our goal!  Help your child make this a success!

9/25- Birthday Table 10:30-1: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Sign up is on homepage. This is where you will help celebrate all the birthdays from that month during lunchtime by helping student spin a prize wheel and receive a little treat.

 

October 2025

10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29-Walking Club (10:45-12:10),(12:05-1:25): VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Volunteers needed.  Sign up on home page.  Help promote fitness and reward our students by punching cards and giving prizes during recess.

10/17-Coyote Crawl Walk A Thon 9-3pm: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!  This is a celebration for the hard work done while fundraising for the school.  All day event filled with fun for the students at recess.  Volunteers needed.  See sign up on Home page closer to event date. This day sort of looks like a field day for our students. Volunteers will be asked to man the same kind of stations.

10/18- Trunk or Treat 3-4:30pm: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Volunteers Trunks will be needed.  If you can't supply your trunk a donation of candy is greatly appreciated.  Sign up is on our home page.  Free event for students to come and collect candy located in the circle at Kernsville.

10/30- Birthday Table 10:30-1pm-  VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!Volunteers needed.  Sign up is on homepage. This is where you will help celebrate all the birthdays from that month during lunchtime.

 

November 2025

12/5-Holiday Jubilee 6-8pm: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Volunteers needed.  Sign up will come out closer to date.  This is a PTO sponsored event that has a Holiday Shop for students to shop for loved one, crafts, games, music and fun!

12/17- Staff Holiday Brunch 9:30-1pm: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! This is a PTO sponsored brunch giving to the staff and thank you for all their hard work.  Volunteers and donations needed. Sign up will come out closer to date.

12/18- Birthday Table 10:30-1pm- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Volunteers needed.  Sign up is on homepage. This is where you will help celebrate all the birthdays from that month during lunchtime.

January 2026

1/16- Canvas and Cookies 6-8pm: This is fun night to paint a canvas with instruction from artist Angela Faidley and enjoy cookies while doing it.  Sign up from out home page to pay for canvas will come out closer to date.

1/29- Skate Night at Skateaway 6-8pm: Enjoy a PTO sponsored night at Skateaway in Whitehall.  You just need to pay for a skate rental or bring your own skates. It's a great time to be with friends!

February 2026

2/12-Ice Cream Social 1:25-3:10pm: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! PTO Sponsored ice cream sundae party for the students. Volunteers needed and sign up will come out closer to date on the home page. One of our volunteer favorites!

2/21- Family Fun Day 11-2pm: (Rain date 2/28) PTO Sponsored event that will have food, games, glow party, prizes, basket raffle and LOTS of fun!

5/4-5/8-Staff Appreciation Week- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!This is a week long thank you to the whole Kernsivlle staff thanking them for their hardworking, kindness and dedication.  We will need volunteers to help with food and decorations.  Donations will be accepted for this event a week prior.  A Sign Up Genius will be on our home page closer to the date.

5/15-Spray Day with Mr. G.- This is a PTO sponsored event where the top earners and some lucky students get to have a silly string spray off with the beloved Mr. G! This is a reward to the hard work the students put in for the Walk A Thon.  This is a staff and student favorite!!

5/26-PTO Meeting 9am Last one-This is where your ideas and concerns can be heard, plans are made for the events we do and friendships are made.

5/28- Birthday Table 10:30-1pm- VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! Volunteers needed.  Sign up is on homepage. This is where you will help celebrate all the birthdays from that month during lunchtime.

June 2026

6/3- 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony and Party-VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!! This is where the families get to come for the Moving up Ceremony at 9:15  for about 1 1/2 hours.  Then the students get to have a 5th grade party in the gym!

6/4-5th Grade Pizza Party-This is a PTO sponsored event for the 5th graders where pizza, drinks and Kona Ice is provided.
